Offices/businesses aren't yet automated.
I can't yet pay even my telephone bill by computer dialup,
thus Crocker Bank and Pacific Telephone aren't yet automated enough
for what I want. Small businesses are pathetic by comparison.
Family Services, a private counseling agency with state funds aid,
does bookkeeping manually (pen and pad) except for a printing
calculator to do additions and subtractions on (data is manually
seen on the ledger and punched into the calculator, and the result
is manually copied back to the ledger).
