The suggestions made contrary to the proposal for a net.datacomm was the
name, so it seems that net.dcom works much better in that it is somewhat
descriptive while being short enough to permit quite significant subgroup
names.

As of today, I will start submitting to net.dcom, feeling that we have gone
through sufficient agitation and self-flagelation to be entitled to do so.
The purpose of this group, of course, is the discussion of data communications
topics, including modems, multiplexers, front-ends, port selectors, etc.
I would also imagine that this would tend to be primarily hardware oriented.
I hope you will also find this group to be quite useful.
