backups vs accounting
As a first step in automating most of what is left in the way of
manual procedures in the accounting, the "partial" program now
does the basic data collection when requested to by the accounting
software.  The result is that once in a while, after the partial
itself is finished, it will say:

	One moment while I do the accounting...
	[thirty seconds of disk activity]
	Done.

In particular, this is supposed to happen on Monday the 15th.
