A problem we had at watmath was that some people were using the wildcard
"ALL" instead of "all" in their .newsrc files.  Apparently readnews
either did or did not care about the case sensitivity, and checknews
did the reverse; hence, they gave different answers about the presence
of news.  I'm told that "all" is correct, not "ALL".  -IAN!
