Shuttle News
Lousma and Fullerton are now spending their eighth day in space
aboard the shuttle.  Just minutes before they were to start the
deorbit burn, which begins an irreversible descent, the word came
that they would have to wait at least until tomorrow.  More
dramatically, the chances are high that the Columbia will have
to land on the 15,000 paved strip at Kennedy Space Center, its
third choice.  Officials predicted more winds at White Sands
tomorrow, and they said they didn't want to keep it up any longer
than then for weather at the Cape is expected to turn bad on
Wednesday.  No landing time has been released yet.
