PacMan name query
A frustrated friend of mine who is a fellow linguistics major
has come to me with an interesting question which I couldn't
answer, so I have volunteered to submit it to the net.  The
question is, what is the etymology of "PacMan"?  This may be
so obvious that everyone but me (and my friend) has figured it
out but I would appreciate it if a NetPerson could enlighten
me...  In particular, what does "Pac" stand for?
