SALTed MIRVs
  I didn`t come up with the idea the non-MIRVed is cheaper than MIRVed; 
REM did by way of claiming that we wouldn't have MIRVed in the absence
of SALT I.  I agree completely that the advantages (sic) of MIRVing
are independent of SALT--and I`m STILL wondering why the Russians 
implemented hard-silo-killing weaponry with SALT where they wouldn't have
otherwise...
