ps vs. init
Init(8) has been modified so that when it hangs waiting for completion
of the open on the terminal (e.g. when waiting for carrier on a dialup),
it displays the terminal name to ps(1).  This isn't perfect -- ps(1)
still thinks such inits have no terminal, so you can SEE this stuff
only with "ps ax" or "ps t?" -- but it's simple and it helps.  In the
course of getting ready to try this, the 7ROOT image tape was updated.
