People who send news are requested to be careful to put it into appropriate
newsgroups.  In particular, the newsgroup "general" should be reserved for
matters of real importance to all users.  We have enough trouble getting
people to read the news at all;  it is important that the all-users news
channel that "general" provides should be reserved for things that people
really do need to know.
