I certainly assume that cleanup will be automatic, and painless (transparent).

Further, I would asume that a live network is more real than one static enough
to detail each group for archival.  

Lastly,  It seems that 10-40% of the traffic is in discussing groups,
often more than the content of the groups themselves.  

Net.unix does exist, it has had 3 messages now.  If there is any
doubt about the utility of a group, it is answered by trial usage,
not by soapbox speculation.
