gin rummy algorithm

    Does anyone know of a FAST algorithm for deciding whether or not a
persin has gin?  I played gin rummy on a DEC-20 once, and that program
obviously had some such algorithm, but we only had the executable file
and not the source.  Mail me the replies and if there's enough interest
I'll post any pointers I get.
