I say go for net.space, and have maintained this for some time.
Further make net.columbia into net.space.columbia or net.space.sts
This makes sense.

Face it, with fa.space if you submit something, it is 2-3 days before
you see it back at the average site, perhaps more.  With net.space everybody
sees it in the minimum possible time.  This reduces the load at Berkeley
as well, (or whatever site does the interface, in this case SRI) because
data only flows one way, rather than both ways through the gateway for
a given message.
