As for my previous message about talking about things
that aren't announced, the comments still apply, but
the particular topic is moot.  DEC has either officially
announced VMS 3.0 and the VMS C compiler or, they leaked the story
to Computerworld!

As for the purpose of field tests, they are definitely
secret on an official level. Unofficially, everyone loves
compliments....
