the foo <colon> problem still exists!
I thought it was gone ages ago, but I put out a message (with my 2.6
netnews) that had a colon in the first line of the body.  By the time
it got to harpo, the first line was gone.  So don't put colons in the
first line of your messages until someone convinces you that the
problem is gone forever.

It is also annoying that the subject line of netnews articles is shelled,
which means you can't use certain flavorful metacharacters.
