How about some help after lovel 16?
I am a newcomer to the adventures of rogue.  I can usually get to about level
16, and then I run into trouble.  The xorns, trolls, and umber hulks always
kill me.  How about some help?

Also, one time I had a staff of drain life [3] and tried to kill a xorn.  The
message said "You feel a tingling feeling", and then he proceeded to get me.
What does this mean? I had used it once earlier and the invisible stalker
died very nicely, but not the xorn.
