	The ANSYS package definitely does not run under Unix.  I already tried
to convince them to convert to Unix once.  I was told in addition to a conversion
fee they would want my system to do the conversion on and some interest from
other sites in their software under Unix.  They did not want to support only one
site.  We simply wound up buying another Vax.

	Many of these mechanical design packages are real kludges with a lot of
system dependent things.  I suspect these companies have a lot of overhead in
maintainence so be prepared to put out many $$$.
