net.research proposal

     A suggestion for a "research abstact newsgroup" was made on net.general
by Stephen Perelgut.  I think it is a good idea.  I might add that a standard
format would be very useful for all items posted.  Something that might
include:
	Abstract
	Author[s]
	Affiliation[s]
	Availablity (published somewhere? public domain? could a copy be
			obtained electronically through the network? etc.)
I suggest something similar to the form new network sites fill out when they
join USENET.  And the subject field should always be used for this newsgroup!!!
