Sorry to introduce a META-discussion, but considering the volume of MAIL
which I have received already this morning, I think that this list should
be turned into a digest.  Granted this would have the drawback of slowing
turnaround a bit, but it is probably creating quite a bit of net traffic
and it is certainly cluttering up many mailboxes.
