I have asked Steve Daniel at Duke to adjust the news system there to
cease forwarding certain newsgroups to us.  Specifically, the only
"fa" newsgroups we will now be getting will be
	fa.unix-wizards
	fa.info-micro
	fa.info-terms
	fa.printers
	fa.works
The first is of obvious relevance and the rest are possibly helpful
(although I will be watching cost vs. information content of all of
them for the next while).

In particular, this means we will no longer be getting fa.arms-d,
fa.energy, fa.info-cpm, fa.human-nets, or fa.sf-lovers.

I am investigating both connecting to a closer network site than Duke
and connecting at higher speed (1200 baud) to cut connect times.  If
either or both of these developments occurs, some reconsideration of
the newsgroup list will be in order.  The previous offer to keep any
newsgroup open if somebody agrees to pay for it remains open.
