kernel packet driver
        The volume of uucp traffic on our system has  begun  to
   get  out  of  hand,  and  we are looking for ways to improve
   uucp's performance.  We have heard it said that putting  the
   packet driver into the kernel helps.  We are very interested
   in hearing from anyone who has put the packet driver into  a
   vanilla V7 system.  Any comments on how you did it, how much
   work it is, and how much it helps would be particularly wel-
   come.
