    I modified uucp to work with the Bizcomp Intelligent Modem,
and it has been working for about 3 months now (at CIRES).  I will
likely do the same for the Hayes SMARTMODEM soon -- it appears to be
a superior product. 
    The changes were not very much, and I will be glad to discuss them
with anyone who is interested.
