rogue scores (con't)
    One note about the rogue scores broadcast earlier from purdue  --  they
were  obtained by taking advantage of a bug. The version of rogue used lets
one save a game at more than one place without deleting  earlier  saves  of
that  game  --  so you can proceed by trial and error. That's just what the
high scoring folks here did. They got a good game,  and  ran  it  into  the
ground. So take those scores with a grain of salt.
