tape shelving order
Backup tapes are shelved in the order (left to right) zoo, usr, and root,
within any given tape set.  Anyone who thinks it's silly to standardize
something so trivial should consider that there is fairly good evidence
that at least once this week, a backup-doer in a hurry grabbed the zoo
tape for that day and the usr+root tape for the next, at least partly
as a consequence of the chaotic order of the tapes.
