super void
Scientists have found a void in space the size of about 2,000
Milky Way Galaxies.  The void, about 300 million light years
in diameter (the Milky Way is 100,000), is around 400 million
light years from this solar system.  The void is growing even
bigger as the galaxies near it pull together from their own
gravity.  Astronomers said it is probably not completely empty,
but there ``isn't much out there.''

The ``super void'' was found when scientists studying the Universe
turned telescopes towards the constellation Bootes.  They found
the density of galaxies at least 10 times less than expected.
