Well, to start something off concerning FCC actions and
things of that sort, a petition especially disturbing to
me was one submitted by Bill Welsh (W6DDB)  This petition,
RM-3867 (info. on it appears in Worldradio, August, 1981,
p. 3.), proposes the reduction in General and Advanced
Class license privileges by some 20% each!  i have written
to the FCC about it, and about my disapproval of it.  However,
included in it is (in my opinion a good) proposal to give
the Novice licensees the 14.1 to 14.15 MHz subband.  This
would allow them to experience even more kinds of propagation
and better our pool of public servants.  I would like to hear
from anyone who has an opinion (either way) on this petition.
