Are you referring to some way to detect all the #includes, etc?  The
Amdahl version of UNIX (UTS) has a program called 'mkmk', which does
a fairly nice job; it even handles nested includes.  And they learned
the hard way that you should even mention system header files; they
had to change the standard I/O library structure once....
