Having "deleted" files "expunged" at "logout" (to use tenex terminology)
causes problems if the same user is logged in at more than one terminal
at a time.  These files can be removed by a daemon program in the middle
of the night, if there is enought disk space for all the "deleted" files
that may accumulate during the day.
