To alleviate some of the hassles we've had of late with full backups,
I've modified the backup software for better handling of some kinds
of errors.  Specifically, it now retries dumpdir as well as dump (the
way it was before, it didn't retry a failed dumpdir, which had the
annoying side effect of terminating the entire full backup).  Also,
both the partial and full backups now ignore keyboard interrupts;
the RUBOUT key on the Decwriter is too damn close to RETURN, and
this is a suspected factor in some of the problems.
