1750 misbehavior
One thing that can make a Diablo/Xerox 1750 behave very oddly is if one
of the bank of grey keys on the left of the keyboard has gotten pressed
accidentally.  These are locking keys, they will stay down until released.
Some of them do very strange things, like introducing transient screwups
at the top of a page and nowhere else.  Normally, NONE of them should be
down.
