Has anyone successfully used either a Novation Auto-Cat or a Hayes
Smartmodem (both 300 baud direct connect modems) at 600 baud on a
UN*X system?  I'd be especially interested if anyone at CSRG Toronto
has done this.  Or in general considerations needed to run a 300 baud
modem at 600 baud.  I'll post the results to net.micro.
