Can anyone point to an implementation of pcc that runs comfortably
on a non-I&D PDP-11?  I hope I can prove it is possible.

It doesn't matter if what is normally the first pass had to be cut
in two.  What matters is that a code-generator (generating code for
machine X) that works on the VAX can run as pass two of a pcc on a
smaller machine (again generating code for machine X).

I do not want the compiler; I just want to know if it exists.

Also, if it exists, has the same transmogrification been applied to
lint?
