Informational Entropy Article-I.D.: eisx.411 Posted: Thu Oct 7 16:48:59 1982 Received: Fri Oct 8 08:04:25 1982 WHat is the relationship between physical entropy and informational entropy. Can someone please answer this question (over mail or netnews) In connection with the following kinds of questions: a) Is it possible (eg) to store the physical entropy change in a memory chip in form of informational entropy in the chip itself ? If that can happen, is it a violation of the second law ? b) Does the entropy of the Universe change with the discovery of a major Physical Law (or should I say a refinement of a Scientfic Theory which is invalidable in more situations, a la Carl Popper) I have been trying to answer these questions, and I find I do not have the mathematical sophistication to read some of the texts on the subject. Would some kind soul take pity on me and explain known answers to me in Layman's terms ??? Yours in Curiosity, Prem Devanbu
