I vote to keep net.sf-lovers.
I dunno where things are hung up, but I havne't gotten a copy of
SF-LOVERS DIGEST (as it is known in ARPA-land) in quite a while.
I find reading an entire digest at a time quite a bear.
It's nice to be able to read the stuff one article at a time,
and reply or forward or save on an article-by-article basis.
The main advantage to the digest format is that it is (occasionally)
digested;  that is, multiple replies get glommed into one and posted
by the moderator.  We see this occasionally in the newsgroups, on an
ad-hoc basis.  Having a moderator also helps when a discussion has 
gone on too long, or has diverged too much from the main course of
the newsgroup/digest.
 
I would say:  keep them both, and keep forwarding stuff net... into
fa..., and maybe back, if possible.
