RE:  The article a couple of days ago pointing out the clever name "Atoz" (A to
Z) in the Startrek eposode in which he was a librarian.

Nice observation!  However, you did NOT notice - as was clear from your spelling
of "Etevecron" - that some thinking went into the name of the machine.  I alwaays
assumed it was "Atavachron", from "atavism - Resemblance to remote ancestors
rather than parents; reversion to earlier type" and "chron-", refering to time
(as in chronograph) (from Greek khronos, time).  Exactly what the show was
about!
