Probably not great, but good. A very reasonable sequel to the MOVIE version: explanations of HAL's behavior, some insight on the Star Person, and ... Well, I suggest y'all read it. I'd like to see other comments, but I think this is good SF, and certainly an order of magnitude better than Foundations Ragged Edges Any others feel this way? Different? Of the last three books, the prior mentioned and Friday, by RAH, this is the only one I've liked, at all. Seems only ACC has kept= his sense of what SF is. Asimov did it for the $$, and why RAH did it, I don't know. Certainly was not a story, just a series of vignettes. --Arlan Andrews, Indy
