Up until now, I've been a voyeur, but I am discovering that this
is one of my three favorite groups (the other two being
net.cooks and net.poetry).
	I was really impressed by the analogy drawn between
the courage it takes to walk home through the woods in the dark
when you're twelve and the strength of spirit you need to
survive the Attack of the Common Lonelies. I was a little 
surprised, though, to see the word callous used in this
context.  Callous, to me, has connotations of bitterness,
which I think is **NOT** a prerequisite for a happy 
attitude towards life and loneliness. I don't want to play
semantics, but don't you think ACCEPTANCE would be a better
term?
