I have a huge collection of friends and relatives who believe that I am a) sinful or b) deceitful in having male friends. The rational goes like this: If I have friends who arent female then they ought to be marriage candidates. If i am shamelessly flirting with them then it is a sin, but if I have no intention of marrying them then I am just wasting their time. My mother had to deal with this when she went back to work after taking time off to have a family. It took her a long while to realize that it was okay to enjoy the company of her married co-worker even though she is old enough to be his mother. This sentiment still abounds. I wonder how many women think of themselves primarily as 'potential wives or lovers of'.... a lot that I know do. What I wonder is what do they do once they get married? Having obtained their life ambition doesnt it get a bit boring?? Laura Creighton utzoo!laura
