Larry Kaufman called me a hacker!  This is libel!  I am an employee
of Bell Labs!  What is this reputation going to do to me when I
go looking for a REAL job?  Larry - did you ever see a news item from me
posted at 3 A.M.? -- NO!!  When we worked together in Piscataway
(oh - you didn't want them to know about that one - did you?) did you
ever come in in the morning and find me asleep at my terminal? -- NO!

I'm probably ruined for life.  I'll never get another job programming.
It doesn't matter - I never really wanted to be a programmer anyway.
I always wanted to be -- a lumberjack.

I'll forgive you this time, Larry, but if it happens again I'll stop
sending you bagels from New York and you'll starve to death.
