	Did any of you catch the "Hill Street Blues" episode of
21oct82?  In it, the SWAT team LT., Howard, is in the hospital
to have a tumor removed.  Although the tumor proves benign, it
rattles his cage a bit and some of his armours loosens.  He
confesses his need for someone to love to Furillo, his
Captain.  A nurse overhears and a whirlwind romance ensues.
	What I found particularly interesting was the statement that
the nurse made about people going in cycles, not always being
ready to form relationships.  I find that I vary a great deal
on how open I am to form new relationships, usually depending
on how good I feel about myself.  This dependency seems to
have a feedback loop; when I feel bad, I often don't try to
meet new people and hence feel more isolated and so on.
	No great insight here.  We all move in cycles, I 
suppose.
