I really don't understand why anyone would have trouble divining the
fact that you are female from your "silly story" (burdvax.255).
Surely the first line gives it away:

"While in college in a small town in Western New York, my fiance was at Syracuse..."

If you were male, you would have said "fiancee" instead of "fiance".
