I mean where does 54, 25 and 6 come from? I am trying to get typesetter independent troff to work with the versatec fonts on the imagen laser printer and am going wacky trying to figure out the relationship between ``res'', ``unitwidth'' and the character widths in the individual font width files and the widths in the actual vfont files and the widths in the files supplied by bell for use with the canon.
