I'm looking for places within 150 - 300 miles of NYC that have fun
things to do, nice places to eat, or interesting things to see, and
are either within walking distance of, or otherwise easily accessible
to, an airport.  In other words, places that make nice day trips with
a small plane (especially those that are too far to drive round trip
in one day), and are good for convincing skeptical, non-flying
significant others of the utility of an airplane.  Examples from my
own logbook are Washington, DC (where I just spent a great weekend),
and the beaches at Ocean City, NJ, and Montauk and Fisher's Island, NY.
Nice places that are not easily accessible (like Boston -- I consider
$35 landing fees unacceptable), and airports in the middle of nowhere 
with nice coffee shops need not apply.  More distant locations with
enough going on to justify a weekend trip will also be welcome.
