My point is that if there really is a difference in corporate attitudes between here and There, then it isn't because American corporations are deep-down mean, but because of the social climate (among other things). Enough "social climate". This means YOU! Have you been duly grateful to your employer when it has done something for you? Does this sound naive? If you don't want to be naive, then why should your employer? If there were a net.ethics, I would be interested in hearing about people's conceptions of employee-employer obligations and vice-versa.
