"Xp" (the nearest I can come to the Greek lettering) is a symbol for Christ found in the architecture and fittings of many liturgical churches. The "fish" acronym, using the chi-rhp symbols is also seen on religious jewelry (as well as on the altar screen of our Episcopal Church). They were talking about other things besides Xmtrs, Xfmrs and Xstrs.
