I am about to post a list of currently active (on alice) USENET
newsgroups (with short descriptions of each one) to net.news.group.
This list includes even groups that I think are candidates for
the dead pile.  I will be posting another list, shortly, of groups
that I think should go.  Some discussion on this latter subject
should take place and if there is no opposition to their removal,
I will remove them.

Since the former list will always be changing, I do not feel it
is wise to put an expiration date far off into the future on it.
Rather, I will repost it whenever there are sufficient changes to
it or maybe once every month or two, depending on how things
go.
