I have a TVI-950 terminal, with a very noisy flyback transformer.

A bang on the side helps quiet it for a few minutes, but soon the
whine returns.  I am sensitive to this type noise, and would like
suggestions for getting rid of it.

Someone suggested dripping candle wax on the thing; would this both
work and help?  I don't want any future fire or electrical problems..

Ideas?
