Thus, the common bandwidth of 100 Hz for a cw signal is actually at 20 baud. Anyway, on-off keying is a form of modulation (actually 100% AM) so the keying speed is equivalent to the modulating frequency. Like any AM signal, then, the higher the modulating frequency, the wider the actual bandwidth. Thus, a 600 baud cw signal would require about 3 kHz bandwidth ( same as a SSB signal). Bob K9EUI
