The B-side is a "clean" version of the A-side, and is entitled '(Beep) Christmas'. In all of its 44-seconds I think it manages to be pretty offensive, while at the same time venting an enormous amount of anger towards a holiday that, in this country, seems to have become more of an excuse to go shopping, than a religious celebration. For a real bite of sardonic Christmas lyrics, I still haven't found anything to top The Kinks "Father Christmas." Unfortunately I think this one's gone out of print (and may only have been available as an import to begin with). Lastly, while I'm on Christmas records: Can anyone believe that the Phil Spector Christmas Album has been reissued in Electronically Separated Stereo!? And they had the intelligence to use the cover from the first reissue, depicting Phil Spector as Santa Claus, with a "Back to Mono" button on his suit. No wonder the record industry is in a slump! ... uw-beaver!eli
