  One of my favorite put-downs of Christmas commercialism comes from a
group that likes to put down modern ritualistic religion in general, but with
Christian undertones, and that is Jethro Tull. (Remember songs like
"Wind Up" ["He's not the kind you have to wind up on Sundays"] and "My God"
["Well if Jesus saves, then he better save himself"]?) . The song I am
referring to is "Christmas Song" ["Christmas spirit, is not what you drink"].
