Come, now. It seems to me you have "juvenile" confused with "humorous and containing a lot of puns." The Xanth novels are delightful for this very reason. I doubt that a "juvenile" person would "get" much of the humor; although some of the puns are obvious, a lot of them are quite subtle. I like this brand of humor because to get the most enjoyment from it, I have to use my brain. If any of you out there enjoy humor or puns, I strongly recommend Piers Anthony's Xanth books. (By the way, I assume you meant "reeks," not "reaks." Either way I still disagree.) I'm gratified, at least, to see some more Piers Anthony fans coming out of the woodwork. Alan R.
